We are pleased to invite you to join us for a TAG members-only Zoom to learn more about crucial infrastructure issues on the fall ballot.
As many of you are aware, the Harris County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to ask voters to support a tax increase to help maintain the county's flood control infrastructure.
Specifically, we will review the need and value for the proposal on the November ballot to raise Harris County Flood Control District's tax rate to 4.8 cents per $100 of assessed value. The increase would cost an extra $60 per year for a taxpayer who owns a $400,000 home – generating an additional $113 million in revenue for the flood control district.
We invite two representatives from each of our members to join to hear firsthand the background and key points to ensure we are prepared to educate and advocate for this important investment into a safe and sustainable transportation system.
This call has limited space so RSVP online by Oct 9, 2024, by 3 pm to ensure we can accommodate all interested members.
